Located in San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Earle and his knowledgeable team work together to bring you exceptional medical treatment with patient care as our primary concern. We are committed to providing you the kind of personal attention, dedication, and compassion we would provide to our own family members.
The goal of Stephen E. Earle, M.D., P.A. is to provide the best spinal care to the people of San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding areas. Our goal is accomplished through direct interaction between Dr. Earle and his patients with the aid of his experienced medical staff. For the past four decades, Dr. Earle has specialized in the surgical and medical management of neck and back disorders.
Dr. Stephen E. Earle, M.D., is a Certified Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon with over four decades of experience in orthopaedic surgery. Also, since 1992, Dr. Earle has been an avid race car driver, nationally and internationally. His dedication to excellence is prevalent both in his care for patients as well as his race car driving.
Dr. Stephen Earle comes from a family of doctors; both his father and brother specialize in the field of orthopaedic surgery. In 1974, Dr. Earle graduated with honors from Texas Tech University in Lubbock with Bachelors in Science in Chemistry. He continued his education as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Biochemistry at Texas Tech then studied for his Masters Degree in Neurophysiology in San Antonio at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Earle attended Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston from 1976 to 1979. Dr. Earle then returned home to San Antonio to complete his Orthopaedic Internship and Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Between 1984 and 1986, Dr. Earle completed his spine surgery fellowship in San Antonio. Dr. Earle then immediately joined the family business, a local orthopaedic surgery medical practice, Jack L. Earle, M.D., P.A. Dr. Earle gained immeasurable experience and knowledge of orthopaedic surgery while working with his father. In 1990, after three concentrated years of practice in the field of orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Earle decided to specialize solely in the meticulous practice of orthopaedic spinal surgery. He has enjoyed every minute of it and never looked back. In 2004, Dr. Earle branched out on his own to establish his solo practice, Dr. Stephen E. Earle, M.D., P.A.
As if the thrill of spinal surgery wasn’t enough, Dr. Earle began racing cars, specifically Ferraris, in 1991. He has always had a passion for racing but a motorcycle accident in his early adulthood put his desire to compete on hold. However, at the age of 40, his interest in racing sparked again, this time with a focus on Ferrari GT Racing. He has accumulated over nineteen (19) years experience racing in the United States and Italy, with multiple national and international championships (see below). Currently, Dr. Earle is a member of the Kessel Racing Team, competing in the Italian GT Series. For more information and updates, please visit www.kesselracing.ch
